Chapel by Rodrigo Lara-Zendejas

Chicago-based Mexican artist Rodrigo Lara Zendejas’s project is based on his grandparents’ small personal chapel in their home in Mexico. This soaring project fits within 6018North’s first floor living room and drawing room, where statues and benches line the space. As a nod to the replacement of personal chapels with personal museums, Chapel is filled with statues of artists and architects, rather than the Catholic saints in the chapel that inspired Lara-Zendejas.
