Fluxfest Chicago is an annual event, in its 5th season, that brings together avant-garde artists from around the globe, to interact for 4 days at various venues throughout Chicago. 6018North presented two programs for Fluxfest 2015:

As part of Fluxfest 2015, Fluxers from around the globe present an evening of performance, interactive events, mailart making, sound works, and playful mayhem. Fluxus performances blur the boundaries of art and daily experience with actions ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, quiet and contemplative to loud and interactive. Curated by Keith Buchholz and the Worldwide Contemporary Fluxus Community.

A LISTENING PARTY: Psych Records

The final event of Fluxfest 2015 is a listening party for Psych Records. Founded in 2011, Psych Records has released a staggering array of vinyl LP’s, audiocasettes, and cd’s documenting both contemporary Fluxus sound work, and previously unpublished works by classic Fluxus artists such as Wolf Vostell and Milan Knizak. Kommisar Hjular & Mama Baer create limited edition releases, often available with one-of-a kind collage or sculptural covers. Many of the LP’s include sound work by artists present.
